If you want to minimize disk footprint on your server OS, you cannot use “Disk CleanUp” tool provided in Windows desktop version, except if you install Desktop Experience feature.

That solution is not scalable, that’s why Microsoft provided us a command line solution :

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
