As you may already know, Windows XP end of support is coming. Microsoft released a KB to warn users :

If you use WSUS, SCCM or Intune, you’ll never see that, the KB is not published there.

In the case you use Windows Update to download your updates, you have a workaround, to hide this message. You need to edit the registry :

HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionDisableEOSNotification

If the value is “1”, the notification is disabled.

Hunder the hood, this KB install two scheduled tasks to warn users of the end of support.
